Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan recruits two partners, and Anand & Naik, Chandhiok & Mahajan, Kochhar & Co, KRIA Law, Rahul Chaudhry & Partners, and TT&A also grow their partner numbers.

Media lawyer Suresh Amesar has joins Anand & Naik as a partner in Mumbai along with his team from ANM Global.  and will be working out of the firm's Mumbai office. His previous experience includes in-house roles at media giants Disney and Viacom18.

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan has hired M&A lawyer Sushrut Biswal as a partner in Delhi from Khaitan & Co. With 13 years of experience in private equity and venture capital, Biswal advises on M&A, foreign investments and restructuring. He previously worked for Khaitan & Co, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.

Chennai’s KRIA Law has recruited IP lawyer Sachin Manocha as a partner from German firm Gulde & Partner. He advises on patent law and other IP matters, as well as project management. Manocha worked at IP firm Anand and Anand before joining Gulde in 2021.

TT&A has welcomed projects expert Akshay Malhotra as a partner in Delhi from Khaitan & Co. With about 15 years of experience, Malhotra's practice focuses on advising clients on project development and implementation across sectors such as energy, power, transportation, social infrastructure, and defense procurement. His clients include government authorities, sponsors, contractors, and lenders. Prior to joining Khaitan, Malhotra worked at Luthra & Luthra Law Offices and HSA Advocates.

Rahul Narayan has joined Chandhiok & Mahajan as the head of its dispute resolution practice. Based in Delhi, Narayan has experience representing clients before courts and tribunals in matters pertaining to commercial law, maritime law and international trade, oil and gas, data protection and privacy, as well as constitutional and administrative law. An Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India, he previously worked with AZB & Partners and Herbert Smith Freehills. Chandhiok & Mahajan recently hired M&A lawyer Shafaq Uraizee Sapre as its Mumbai managing partner.

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan has made another M&A partner hire - but this time in Bengaluru - in the form of Srabonee Roy. With 18 years of experience, Roy advises on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital transactions as well as general corporate matters. Her most recent role was a partner with Veritas Legal until 2021; she was earlier a partner at Samvad Partners and J Sagar Associates. 

Rahul Chaudhry & Partners has hired IP specialist Ekta Sarin, whose most recent role was Head of Legal at Zydus Wellness. Sarin, who advises on IP issues such as trademark infringement and copyright law, also counts IP boutique Lall & Sethi Advocates beauty and health products manufacturer Marico among her employers over a 17-year career.

Kaveri Shrivastava has joined Kochhar & Co as a senior partner in Hyderabad from Tatva Legal, where she was a legal manager. She advises on M&A, corporate governance, conducts due diligence and represents clients in litigation and arbitration. Her prior experience includes running her own practice in Delhi and Hyderabad, and stints at law firm Amarchand Mangaldas and Diamond Wholesale and Retail Company.
