Indonesia’s FKNK Law Firm has continued its recent expansion with the addition of a new partner and the opening of a branch office in Surabaya.

Capital markets expert Ferry Rajagukguk has joined FKNK as a partner, bringing with him nearly two decades of experience in initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. He previously headed the corporate practice at Rakhmat Suroso Adinugraha Advocates.

Rajagukguk, who began his career at Lubis Ganie Surowidjojo in 2006, also worked at Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners and was a partner at Andi Gunawan & Associates.

"We are confident that Ferry's contributions will further strengthen our commitment to providing exceptional legal services," FKNK said in a statement.

The firm also launched its new office in Surabaya. The branch will be managed by Meilisa Husein, who joined FKNK as a corporate partner earlier this year.

The expansion into Surabaya, Indonesia's second-largest city, reflects FKNK's strategy to broaden its geographical reach and enhance client accessibility in the rapidly growing East Java market, the firm said.

These developments follow recent hires by FKNK, including corporate partners Gladi Febri Argo in May this year and Raden Aji Wibisono in 2023.

Established in 2011, the firm now has 27 lawyers, including nine partners.
