The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Market (HKEx) has hired Kirkland & Ellis partner Li-Chien Wong as managing director and co-head of IPO vetting.

Wong is expected to join HKEx in March. She will report to HKEx’s Head of Listing, Bonnie Chan, and work closely with the other co-head, Stephanie Lau to oversee all issuer listing applications.

Wong has had a 25-year career in practice, focusing on corporate and capital markets. Prior to joining Kirkland, she was with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Sidley Austin.

Global law firm Morrison Foerster has announced that private equity veteran Scott Jalowayski will rejoin the firm as a partner in Singapore. Jalowayski most recently co-chaired the global private equity group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
