Chicago-headquartered McDermott Will & Emery (MWE) has hired three more lawyers from Squire Patton Boggs to its recently launched Singapore office, including partner Alfred Chia.

In July, MWE announced its plan to return to Asia with the opening of its Singapore office. To prepare for that, MWE hired Ignatius Hwang from Squire Patton Boggs in March.

Chia has more than 20 years of experience in cross-border transactions, focusing on projects, banking and finance, M&A, and blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Accompanying Chia to MWE are counsels Dawn Tan and Melissa Kwek.
