U.S. firm Milbank has recruited capital markets expert Liang (Alex) Tao as a partner in Hong Kong from Allen & Overy.

With more than 15 years of experience, Tao specialises in debt and equity transactions across the technology, media and telecom, real estate, consumer products, energy and oil and gas sectors.

Prior to joining Allen & Overy in 2016, Tao was a counsel at Davis Polk & Wardwell where he spent over nine years in New York and Hong Kong. He started his legal career with Kaye Scholer in Shanghai.
