U.S. law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius has hired two partners in Singapore: Disputes specialist Pardeep Singh Khosa (L) joins from Davinder Singh Chambers, while investment management expert Divya Thakur joins from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

Specialising in commercial litigation, international arbitration, and corporate crime and investigations, Khosa acts for companies, high-net-worth individuals, governments, and statutory boards before Singapore courts and arbitration organisations on multijurisdictional disputes in sectors such as financial services, energy, construction, engineering, and infrastructure. He also advises on claims involving fraud, investigations, regulatory and criminal issues.

Khosa, who was at Drew & Napier for more than a decade, joined Davinder Singh SC as a director when the latter left Drew to set up his own chambers in 2019.

Meanwhile, Thakur was most recently a senior counsel at Akin Gump, having joined that firm in 2013. At Morgan Lewis, she will lead the firm’s investment management practice in Singapore. She has experience advising both fund sponsors and managers in the formation of investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, and other structured fund products. Earlier in her career, Thakur worked at Drew & Napier and the legacy Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co.

With these additions, Morgan Lewis now has 11 partners in Singapore. They include Kai Lee Lau, who joined the firm earlier this year as its first Singapore tax partner.
