India’s Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has boosted its real estate practice with the hire of Abhishek Sharma in Mumbai as partner and co-head of the practice from Khaitan & Co.

Sharma spent more than 13 years of his 17-year legal career at Khaitan. He advises corporate houses, developers, real estate funds and high net worth individuals on real estate matters related to special townships, information technology parks, special economic zones, commercial properties, agricultural lands and RERA.

Sharma will work alongside Bengaluru-based partner Namrata Kolar, who is the other co-head of the real estate practice.

Prior to Sharma’s appointment, CAM hired Richa Roy as a partner in its insolvency and bankruptcy practice in Mumbai.
