Indian law firm S&R Associates has hired a seven-lawyer M&A team in Mumbai from Luthra & Luthra Law Offices, led by partner William Vivian John.

John, who spent nearly two decades at Luthra, advises listed and private companies on M&A and other cross-border transactions, as well as anti-corruption, financial fraud and investigations.

Joining him on the move to S&R are associates Siddhi Kudalkar, Riyan Vatcha, Arunima Vijay, Chirali Jain, and Shubhangi Rai.

With this hire, S&R now has 34 partners and counsel across its Mumbai and New Delhi offices.
