UK firm Hill Dickinson has hired YK Chan as partner and co-head of its equity capital markets team in Hong Kong from Paul Hastings, where he was an associate.

Chan will share the role with partner Kurt Lau, who joined Hill Dickinson last year from Eversheds Sutherland.

Chan focuses on corporate finance and equity capital markets transactions. He advises investment banks and issuers on initial public offerings and secondary fundraising transactions in Hong Kong.

Besides Chan and Lau, Hill Dickinson has two other partners in Hong Kong  – Anthony Cowie and Bryan O’Hare. While Cowie leads the firm’s transactional practice in Hong Kong, O’Hare heads the commercial and disputes practice.
