RPC Premier Law, RPC’s joint law venture in Singapore, has begun beefing up its disputes practice with the hire of three senior disputes lawyers from Clyde & Co Clasis, including partner Gerald Yee.

The news comes weeks after a team of nine disputes lawyers led by Siraj Omar SC, who headed the practice at RPC Premier Law, left for Drew & Napier. They were followed by the departure of M&A and debt restructuring partner Erlene Tan from the firm.

Yee’s practice focuses on shipping, marine insurance, commodities and oil and gas disputes. He advises on contentious and non-contentious matters for clients in the marine industry.

"We are looking forward to Gerald and his team joining us,” said Antony Sassi, RPC Asia managing partner, in a statement. “Gerald is well regarded in the market and his focus on commercial disputes and energy fit perfectly with our strategy to build on our capability in key strategic areas which are of benefit to our clients.”
