Withers KhattarWong, the Singapore formal law alliance of Withers, has hired M&A and debt restructuring partner specialist Erlene Tan as a partner from RPC Premier Law, where she was a director.

Tan’s departure comes days after it was announced that litigation and arbitration specialist Siraj Omar SC would be moving with his team of eight to Drew & Napier.

Tan’s practice includes advising family-owned companies in Indonesia and Singapore on cross border M&A and joint ventures, regulatory, debt restructuring and finance.

Having earlier worked as a senior legal counsel in CapitaMalls Asia, Tan has both private practice and in-house experience.

Tan is the first partner hire for Withers KhattarWong in Singapore after the firm hired two lawyers from Morgan Lewis Stamford last year - insolvency specialist Justin Yip and disputes lawyer Amarjit Kaur.
