Norton Rose Fulbright has grown its Singapore practice by hiring technology lawyer Stella Cramer as a partner from Standard Chartered Bank.

Cramer, who was head of legal and compliance, data technology and operations at Standard Chartered, specialises in sourcing and technology, intellectual property, and data privacy in the Singapore market.

Cramer’s appointment in Norton Rose Fulbright’s technology and innovation group is expected to help boost the firm’s Southeast Asia technology and innovation business that focuses on opportunities in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Myanmar.

“Stella is known to many of our clients as a peer in the technology and innovation space and her appointment will provide us with a platform to further build our sourcing, technology, intellectual property, and data privacy practice in Southeast Asia,” said Mike Rebeiro, global head of technology and innovation at Norton Rose Fulbright, in a statement.

Cramer’s hire means the firm now has 19 partners at its Singapore office.
