Private equity funds and M&A specialist Sayak Maity has joined U.S. law firm White & Case as a partner in Singapore from India’s AZB & Partners.
Maity assists PE funds on investments in India and the wider Asia-Pacific region. He also advises on joint ventures and corporate governance.
Prior to his stint at AZB, Maity worked in an in-house role at Tata Sons, and was also with law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.
White & Case currently has 13 partners, including Maity, in its Singapore office.
Japanese Big Four law firm Nishimura & Asahi has welcomed two new partners to its newly established Brussels office: International trade partner Benoit Servais (L) joins from Van Bael & Bellis, while antitrust expert Kristina Winkelmann moves from Gleiss Lutz.
