Simmons & Simmons has hired investment funds specialist Gaven Cheong as a partner at its Hong Kong office.

Previously a counsel with Sidley Austin in Hong Kong, Cheong focuses on the creation and structuring of investment funds, as well as regulatory work.

Prior to joining Sidley Austin in 2006, Cheong worked at the Hong Kong offices of Clifford Chance and Herbert Smith Freehills.
