Singapore law firm Joseph Tan Jude Benny (JTJB) has hired corporate lawyer Ting Chi Yen as a partner from Oon & Bazul.

With about 20 years of experience, Ting advises lenders, borrowers and financial institutions on banking, finance, compliance and general corporate matters including cross-border working capital, trade finance, structured finance, acquisitions, securitisation, projects, syndicated and asset financing with special focus on shipping and real estate. He joined Oon & Bazul in 2007.

Ting’s arrival has brought the number of JTJB partners in Singapore to 10. The firm’s Bangkok office recently merged with Thai commercial boutique AWP & Alliance.

For Oon & Bazul, Ting’s departure marks its third partner exit since November. Restructuring practice co-head Mei Yen Tan moved to Norton Rose Fulbright in February, and before that, litigator Jerald Foo left for Selvam.
