Atlanta-headquartered Troutman Sanders has hired Jason Kuo as a corporate partner in Hong Kong from Sidley Austin.

Kuo’s arrival takes the total number of partners at the firm’s Hong Kong office, set up in 1997, to eight.

With experience including mezzanine financings, high-yield debt offerings, tender offers, private placements, pre-IPO venture capital investments and Luxembourg listings, Kuo has experience in handling transactions involving issuers from the PRC, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan.

Prior to Sidley Austin, Kuo worked with Baker & McKenzie and Brown & Wood, the latter firm merged with Sidley Austin in 2001.
