Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas had appointed corporate specialist Harsh Kumar as a partner in the firm’s Delhi office from rival Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

Kumar’s practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions and private equity/venture capital transactions.  He also advises clients on general corporate and commercial matters.

A former associate partner at Khaitan & Co., Kumar’s career began at erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co, which split into CAM and SAM in 2015.

Kumar’s appointment is the latest in the sequence of recent hires between CAM and SAM. After the two firms split, they had an initial agreement not to poach from each other, but the table below shows that agreement has come to an end.
