White & Case has hired energy and project development expert Julien Bocobza as a partner in Tokyo from Norton Rose Fulbright’s London office.

Bocobza is White & Case’s second projects hire in Tokyo in a matter of months, after it added Kristian Bradshaw as a partner from INPEX Corporation, where he held an in-house role.

Bocobza advises on the development, financing and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects, including the renewables, hydrogen, nuclear and infrastructure sectors. He is experienced in not only projects in Japan and Europe but also other Asia-Pacific countries, Middle East and Africa.

Bocobza joined NRF in 2014. His previous employers include Shearman & Sterling and the legacy Freehills.

With this addition, White & Case now has 13 partners in Tokyo.
