Overview

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with an offer of huge market potential and plentiful investment opportunities, continues to advance relentlessly as a result of efforts by the Chinese government whose initiatives are now getting implemented at a speed never seen before.

With the recent decision by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) to allow law practitioners in Hong Kong and Macao to work in nine cities of Guangdong province on the mainland, this will further promote law practitioners' development in the region and make Greater Bay Area a true gathering place of global investments, technological innovations and high-end talents.

ALB will be hosting a webinar on Challenges to Cross-Boundary Deal-making in the Greater Bay Area on 23 September, addressing issues in the legal service market, navigating through regulatory developments, and offering in-depth analysis on the cross-border M&A landscape within the Greater Bay Area.
