AZB & Partners has counselled Indian software giant Wipro on its $1.45 billion acquisition of UK consultancy Capco.

Capco’s acquisition will provide Wipro access to 30 new large banking and financial clients, making Wipro one of the largest end-to-end global IT consulting and  business service providers.

Wipro and its rivals Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services have become major global players, offering services spanning from back-office work for banks to social media content moderation as well as traditional technical support, according to Reuters.

Partners Srinath Dasari and Bhuvana Veeraragavan led the AZB team.
