Baker McKenzie is advising the underwriters on the $1 billion initial public offering (IPO) of Thai Life Insurance, Thailand’s third-largest life insurer. The IPO is the biggest in Southeast Asia so far in 2022, according to Reuters.

The listing would be a boon for Asia’s capital markets which have struggled to attract new IPOs because of volatility in financial markets, Reuters reported. The proceeds would provide working capital, support digital transformation and strengthen distribution channels with partners, Reuters added.

The Baker McKenzie team advising 10 underwriters led by Kiatnakin Phatra Securities includes three Bangkok partners: Chaveewan Likhitwattanachai, Primyadar Duangrat and Pukkapol  Khuntamanee.
