Huan Duc Nguyen, Head of Legal and Compliance, WHA Vietnam

Huan is the Head of Legal and Compliance of WHA Vietnam and oversees the legal and compliance aspects of the businesses in Vietnam of WHA Group. He joined WHA in 2018, and brough with him the combined expertise of external lawyer and in-house legal counsel in both private and public companies. Prior to WHA, Huan was a legal counsel of Masan Resources (now Masan High-Tech Materials) – a listed company operates the world largest tungsten mine outside of China, and ABB in Vietnam – a member of the Swiss corporation leading the world in electrification and automation. Prior to ABB, he worked for YKVN – a top-tier law firm in Vietnam. Huan was named by Legal500 in its inaugural GC Powerlist Vietnam 2023.

Le Nguyen Quoc Sy, Legal & Compliance Director, HOI AN SOUTH DEVELOPMENT LTD.

Sy is a qualified lawyer, a member of Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of West of England, UK. He also has bachelor’s degrees from HCMC University of Law and HCMC University of Economics.

Susan Do, General Counsel, F88 Joint Stock Company

Susan is an experienced director with a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunication, finance, entertainment, energy, real estate, retail, e-commerce and banking industry. She has strong professional education with a Master of Laws (LLM) from Hanoi National University and acting as a private lawyer focused on International Business, M&A, Trade, Tax, Contract, Labor, Corporate, Dispute Settlement, Capital Market and Banking Laws.

Currently, Susan is a General Counsel for F88 Joint Stock Company and have managed a team of over twenty members to consult and control the legal matters on main finance business of the Group. She has contributed the successful deals to call the investment fund (series C) with $50M and get the overseas loans roughly $100M in 2022. She was part of setting up the compliance frames and managed all internal regulation documents in the Group.

Susan was awarded the internal unit with exceptional high quality corporates services and corporate governance.

Tran Nam Hai, ASEAN Legal Counsel, Bayer

Hai is acting as ASEAN Legal Counsel at Bayer located in Vietnam. He accumulated more than 15 years of experience both as external and internal consultant for business in various industries including Finance & Accounting, Nutrition, Healthcare & Agriculture. Joined Bayer, a global enterprise with core competencies in fields of healthcare and agriculture, since 2017, he is currently leading the legal & compliance matters of Bayer Consumer Health and Crop Science business in Vietnam, and in several cross-border projects for pharmaceutical business in ASEAN.

By focusing on solution-oriented approaches for faced challenges in compliance manners, Hai has been able to put his academy degrees he earned at his law school and universities to good use. Over the years, his strengths at Bayer have garnered some recognition for pushing critical projects to the finish lines. Hai may spend his days at the office, but it’s the challenges that he faces and the thrill of getting the works done together with his colleagues that get him up in the morning.

When he is not at work, Hai is a fan of coffee and loves spending time with his family or on gardening.
