Hong Kong boutique David Cameron Law Office (DCLO) has appointed Kris Daswani as partner, bringing on board a lawyer with over 25 years of experience at major financial institutions including Standard Chartered, JPMorgan, and Citigroup.

Until July last year, Daswani served as managing director and global head legal for transaction banking at Standard Chartered. She previously held senior legal positions at JPMorgan and Citigroup, prior to which she was in private practice with Simmons & Simmons and Pinsent Masons.

With expertise in cross-border banking transactions, including cash management, digital payments, commodity and trade finance, and funds and securities services such as custody and prime finance transactions, Daswani has advised on financing transactions across Asia and the Middle East.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kris Daswani to our partnership,” said David Cameron, managing partner of David Cameron Law Office, in a statement. “Her extensive experience and client-focused approach align perfectly with our firm’s values and mission.”

The appointment marks DCLO's third partner hire in about five months, following Aoife Griffin and Matthew Love who joined in October and November 2024, respectively. The firm, founded in 2021, says it plans to double its size by the end of the year.
