India’s HSA Advocates is set to merge with boutique law firm, DLS Law Offices, which currently operates from New Delhi and has a presence in Mumbai and Bhubaneshwar.

The acquisition comes at a period of rebuilding for HSA, which hired Gaurav Sahay as a partner in the firm’s corporate and M&A practice in Bengaluru. HSA recently lost 12 lawyers to DSK Legal, eight lawyers to IndusLaw and three partners to Argus Partners. The firm also saw managing partner Amitabh Sharma stepping down.

DLS Law Offices was founded year by Dipti Lavya Swain. Swain, who specialises in private equity, M&A, securities law, insolvency laws and corporate law, has over 13 years of work experience.

Prior to launching his independent practice, Swain was a general counsel at Azure Power. He was earlier a partner at Luthra and Luthra (now L&L Partners).
