Drew & Napier has appointed experienced lawyer Geraldine Ong, most recently a consultant with KhattarWong, as the new head of its real estate practice.
Ong, who has about 25 years of experience, has also acted as the legal advisor to Jurong Town Corporation and the Singapore Technologies group of companies. She had set up her own practice before joining KhattarWong as a consultant.
With extensive experience in commercial, corporate and conveyancing in and outside Singapore, Ong has particular expertise in the sale, purchase and financing of real property, leases, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and various forms of commercial agreements. Her experience spans across Asia, Australia, South Africa, Middle East, the UK and Europe.
“Geraldine is a lawyer of high standing and we are delighted that she has joined the Drew family,” said Davinder Singh SC, Drew & Napier’s chief executive, in a statement. “We hope to better serve our clients with her on board.”
Additionally, Ong has also represented high-net-worth Chinese individuals and Chinese companies in China since 2005. She acts for Chinese companies who have been involved in functional beverages, international trade, property development and management, sports, lifestyle and art & culture industries, travel and hospitality.
