Qatar’s English-language common law court, the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC), has named Christopher Grout as its new acting registrar. Grout will be filling a legal, judicial, and managerial role in his new capacity.

Grout is a qualified barrister of England and Wales, and was called to the bar by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 2007. He remains a member of the London-based 15 New Bridge Street Chambers to this day. Grout currently serves at the Qatar International Court, which incorporates the QFC Civil and Commercial Court and Regulatory Tribunal, and reports directly to QICDRC chief executive, Robert Musgrove.

“We are delighted to welcome Christopher to the QICDRC. His appointment will complement the expertise and experience of our international judiciary. As well as his experience at the England and Wales bar, Christopher also has a background in the development of court procedures and legal education,” said Musgrove.
