Singapore Big Four law firm Allen & Gledhill has announced that Lee Kim Shin will take over as managing partner of the firm next month, with current incumbent Lucien Wong assuming the newly-created position of chairman and senior partner.

Wong, who has been managing partner since September 1998, will focus “on the firm’s overall strategic direction and initiatives, major policies and client relationships," A&G said in a statement. It added that the changes were “part of the firm’s management succession to deepen its leadership."

Lee, who is currently co-head of A&G’s corporate and commercial department, will begin his two-year term as managing partner on Aug. 1. He is expected to take charge of the day-to-day administrative matters of the firm. Lee joined A&G in 1987.
