UAE-based Al Tamimi & Co has bolstered its construction and engineering practice with two new appointments. The firm has named former SNR Denton senior associate Adam Balchin as the new head of its construction practice and Justin Ede, formerly of Galadari & Associates, as senior associate.

Balchin is experienced in advising on project structures, documenting and negotiating complex projects across industry sectors and disputes, including large construction arbitrations. Ede, meanwhile, is an expert on construction contracts and disputes. Both appointments will be based in Dubai.

Husam Hourani, managing partner of Al Tamimi, described Balchin’s appointment as an enormous step forward as it ensures the growth and development of the construction practice across the region.
