Mumbai-headquartered Advaya Legal has hired its third partner in the form of ex-BG Group lawyer Smriti Subramanian, who is expected to bolster the firm’s infrastructure, energy, and natural resources practice.

Subramanian, who had previously worked for ITC Limited and as a senior associate with Economic Laws Practice, has experience in commercial transactions across multiple jurisdictions with a focus on acquisitions, cross border trading and investments, concession agreements, and EPC contracts.

“Advaya draws its strength from its team with diverse backgrounds of in-house and private practice experience, to create that unique approach that ‘Advaya’ stands for,” said Ramesh K. Vaidyanathan, managing partner of Advaya Legal, in a statement.

Advaya Legal was founded in 2010 by Vaidyanathan, a former general counsel with Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (MIAL) and Kochhar & Co lawyer.
