Thomsons Lawyers has appointed a new banking and finance partner who has joined the firm from Westpac Banking Corporation.
Peter West brings to Thomsons more than 20 years of experience in banking and finance law having worked at firms such as Middletons and Norton White prior to joining Westpac in 2010.
West has expertise in a number of areas including asset finance, trade and commodity finance, receivables and inventory finance, project finance and corporate and acquisition finance. He also has extensive experience advising operators and financiers in the aviation and shipping sectors.
While at Westpac West assisted with the implementation of the Personal Property Securities Reforms.
