Shearman & Sterling has appointed five lawyers to its partnership worldwide, including M&A expert Sidharth Bhasin in Hong Kong and arbitration specialist Alex Bevan in Abu Dhabi.

Bhasin acts for clients in Asia on M&A, private equity investments and exits, as well as restructurings and workouts. He also helps head the firm’s India practice.

Bevan advises on investment, construction, acquisition and joint venture-related proceedings in industries including infrastructure, telecommunications, power, and oil and gas. He is also an active arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings.
