The Singapore office of UK law firm Lawrence Graham has hired trusts partner Zac Lucas, who was most recently head of the private client practice at the offshore law firm Ogier.

Lucas, who will relocate from the BVI, specialises in international trust and estate planning with a particular focus on business and succession planning.  His clients include international law firms, professional trust companies, private banks and wealthy families on matters relating to trust law and private client planning.

Lucas will run Lawrence Graham’s private client team in Asia.

“Zac's reputation and trusts expertise will give us a formidable offering in the region, which will further enhance what we believe is the firm's excellent reputation in East Asia for private capital work,” said Nick Jacob, Singapore and London-based private capital partner at Lawrence Graham. “We have seen a very significant step up in family governance and trust work in the region over the last twelve months, and Zac's hire is a major stepping stone to achieving our aspiration of building the strongest private client offering in East Asia.”

Lawrence Graham entered Singapore early last year after forming an alliance with PK Wong and Associates.  The firm is looking to build its Singapore base of the back of Lucas’ hiring.
