Reed Smith has promoted Simon Jones to partnership in the firm’s energy and resources practice group in Singapore, as part of a total of 22 partner promotions across the firm’s offices worldwide.

Jones advises trading companies and investment banks that trade commodities in relation to disputes arising in the trading, transporting and financing of a wide range of both hard and soft commodities.  He also has experience drafting standard terms and conditions for use in commodities trading.

Reed Smith’s 22 new partners are divided equally between the firm's business and finance and litigation departments. Seventeen associates have also been promoted to counsel.
