Eversheds has named arbitration expert Oommen Mathew as managing director of its Singapore office, as the firm seeks to restructure its management team in Asia.

Mathew, who has been with Eversheds since 2009, has experience as lead counsel representing both regional and international clients in the Singapore High Court, Court of Appeal and almost exclusively in recent times, in international arbitrations conducted under ICC, SIAC, SCC and UNCITRAL Rules regimes. He started his career at Allen & Gledhill.

Eversheds’ new management team in Asia is made up of regional managing partner Stephen Kitts, Asia head of corporate Stephen Mok, Asia head of litigation and dispute management Ivan Ng, and Asia head of finance King-tak Fung.
