Indian law firm J. Sagar Associates (JSA) has appointed former Vidhii Partners media head Nandini Mehta as a retained partner in its Mumbai office, as it looks to boost its sports and media practice.

Prior to her tenure at Vidhii Partners, Mehta was the legal head for Disney UTV Movies where she advised on motion picture production and distribution, online and console gaming, and new media syndication.

Mehta’s areas of expertise include advising on the rights management for films and television, advertising, gaming, sports, live entertainment and music. She has handled the legal aspects of production and syndication of more than 300 films, in addition to counseling on film financing, funding, co-productions and player contracts.
