Singapore’s KhattarWong has welcomed back criminal defence lawyer Shashi Nathan, who joins as a partner in its criminal litigation department from boutique firm INCA Law.

Nathan, who headed the criminal litigation practice at INCA Law, has experience in both white-collar and blue-collar crimes. His white-collar experience includes cases relating to corruption, insider trading, market manipulation, tax fraud, as well as legislation dealing with corporate malfeasance. Nathan has also acted in cases involving murder, sexual offences and drug trafficking.

“Shashi is rejoining KhattarWong, this time as partner of our Criminal Litigation Department,” said KhattarWong managing partner, Gurbachan Singh, in a statement. “His depth of knowledge and experience in criminal litigation will position us in good stead in this critical field of legal practice and complement many of our other practices.  Our partners warmly welcome him to KhattarWong.”

Prior to joining INCA Law, Nathan was a partner and head of criminal litigation at Harry Elias Partnership LLP for more than 10 years. He practised at KhattarWong between 1992 and 2000.
