Stamford Law has hired two new directors: Corporate funds lawyer Daniel Yong, who was most recently the head of Norton Rose’s investment funds practice in Singapore, and Lim Sin Teck, who joins from White & Case.
Experienced in fund formation, cross-border M&A and private equity work, Yong has worked for a variety of clients in the finance, real estate, energy and infrastructure sectors. His recent experience includes establishing a $1 billion private equity fund investing in real estate assets in China, and a $150 million clean energy fund.
“We continue to strengthen our firm across our practice areas,” said Lee Suet-Fern, senior director of Stamford Law, in a statement. “Daniel brings with him a wealth of cross-border transactional experience, and is a key addition to our corporate advisory practice.”
Meanwhile, Lim was a counsel in White & Case’s banking, capital markets and restructuring practice group in Asia. Specialising in advising issuers and underwriters on global capital markets transactions, pre-IPO financings, debt restructurings, corporate finance and liability management matters, he has advised on a number of capital markets transactions in Southeast Asia, including the $2 billion IPO of BTS Rail Mass Transit Growth Infrastructure Fund, Thailand's largest IPO to date.
““We are forging ahead and building on our corporate bench strengths,” said Lee in a separate statement. “Sin Teck is hugely experienced in the debt and equity capital markets space, and brings a wealth of experience that our clients will greatly benefit from.”
