Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has hired Arun Balasubramanian from Linklaters in Singapore to co-head its India group.

Balasubramanian, who specialises in capital markets and advises Southeast Asian clients on U.S. law, is working alongside Pratap Amin, the chairman of Freshfields’ India practice.

“Arun’s addition to our Singapore office comes as we continue to see it growing from strength to strength since its launch last year,” said Rob Ashworth, Freshfields’ Asia managing partner, in a statement. “The team and I are delighted to have him on board and are very much looking forward to working with him going forward.”
