Herbert Smith Freehills’ Hong Kong-based Asia disputes head Gavin Lewis has left the firm.
Media reports hinted that Lewis was headed to Linklaters in Hong Kong, but the firm would not comment on them.
In an emailed statement, Herbert Smith Freehills thanked Lewis for his service to the firm.
Lewis joined Herbert Smith in 1996 before leaving in 2006 for UBS in Hong Kong, where he served for two years as managing director. Lewis rejoined Herbert Smith in 2008, and became the firm’s Asia disputes head in 2011.
Lewis’ exit follows the departure of financial services and regulatory partner Tim Mak, who left Herbert Smith Freehills for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in April.
