Weil, Gotshal & Manges has hired Albert Cho from Kirkland & Ellis as a partner in the firm’s global private funds group in Hong Kong.

Cho specialises in the formation of private investment funds, with a particular focus on funds that invest in the Asia-Pacific region.

He also advises private fund clients on operational and structuring matters, as well as regulatory and compliance issues.

With the addition of Cho, Weil Gotshal’s Asia private funds group will have nine dedicated attorneys, said the firm’s Asia managing partner Akiko Mikumo, in a statement.
