DLA Piper has strengthened its restructuring practice with the addition of Mark Fairbairn as a partner in Hong Kong, and Ashley Bell as of counsel in Singapore.

Both lawyers join DLA Piper from O’Melveny & Myers, and will continue to work closely together in the firm’s restructuring group in Asia.

Fairbairn, who will head DLA Piper’s restructuring group in Asia, specialises in financial restructurings, insolvency, and distressed and alternative investments across Asia.

Earlier this month, former O’Melveny & Myers corporate lawyer Timothy Tan left the firm to join DLA Piper’s Bangkok office as a partner.
