Shearman & Sterling has bolstered its project development and finance practice with the addition of George Borovas as a partner in Tokyo.

Previously with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Borovas will head Shearman & Sterling’s newly formed global nuclear practice. He has advised clients in the nuclear power sector worldwide on nuclear transactions, power plant development and financings, and litigation and regulatory matters.

Shearman & Sterling has been steadily growing its project development and finance practice, most recently hiring oil and gas partner Anthony Patten from Allens in Singapore in January.
