Baker & McKenzie’s Japan member firm has made up three lawyers to partner and four to counsel, as part of its new financial year promotions. The firm will now have 44 Tokyo partners in total.

The new partners are energy & resources lawyer Ian Gordon, antitrust and competition specialist Akira Inoue and corporate lawyer Kana Itabashi. New counsels are capital markets lawyer Toshikazu Miyamoto, financial services lawyer Takeshi Nishida and corporate lawyer Yoko Watanabe.

Yoshiaki Muto, Tokyo managing partner said: “Despite the difficulties the overall economy has faced in the past year, I am proud of how our office has continued to grow and strengthen the next generation.”
