Former colleagues of the 2010 MasterChef Australia winner, Adam Liaw, have expressed their pride and happiness for the former Kelly & Co lawyer.

“We were absolutely thrilled when he won. It is always good to see a South Australian win a national competition, but when you know them personally it is even more special,” Kelly & Co CEO Stuart Price said. “We’re so happy for Adam to have achieved such success in a field for which he has such a passion and flair.”

31-year–old Liaw worked at Kelly & Co Lawyers in the IP group, before moving to Japan to work for The Walt Disney Company as a media lawyer in 2004. “Adam was a very popular member of our team. He has an intelligence and a creative energy that impresses all that meet him,” former colleague and IP partner, Peter Campbell, said. "We wish him every future success."

Liaw was one of three lawyers in this season of MasterChef. Other lawyers included Claire Winton Burn, who previously worked at Clayton Utz Melbourne, and Peter Kritikides, a property lawyer at Melbourne firm Lander & Rogers.
