Bell Gully chairman Roger Partridge has been elected as the new chair of the New Zealand Business Roundtable.

Partridge has been chairman of Bell Gully since 2007 and prior to that headed the firm’s litigation department for three years.  He has been a member of the Business Roundtable since 2008 and was also a director of the Legal Research Foundation, a private law reform body, from 2001 to 2010.

The New Zealand Business Roundtable was founded in 1985 by a group of New Zealand business leaders and continues to count the CEOs of many major NZ companies among its members. Partridge joins Business Roundtable vice-chairs Bill Day of Seaworks, Bill Gallagher of Gallagher Group, and Nick Calavrias, representing alumni. Partridge replaces Rob McLeod who was recently appointed as Australia-NZ managing partner for Ernst & Young. McLeod will continue as a member of the Business Roundtable.
