Long-serving Chapman Tripp CEO Alastair Carruthers has announced that he will leave the firm on 30 November. Carruthers plans to establish his own business and concentrate on independent consulting and directorships.

"It has been a privilege to work with such a dynamic enterprise as Chapman Tripp and to be part of its growth over the years," Carruthers said. Managing partner Andrew Poole will be expanding his duties upon the departure of Carruthers and further executive appointments have been foreshadowed. Carruthers has been with Chapman Tripp for nearly 17 years, including 13 years as CEO.
