Eversheds has appointed Winnie Ng, former consultant with Minter Ellison, as head of employment law at its Hong Kong office.

Ng, one of a handful of lawyers to specialise in employment law in both Hong Kong and the mainland, has more than 10 years of experience in advising statutory bodies, financial institutions and multinational companies on issues relating to both contentious and non-contentious employment law.

“Winnie’s expertise and her rare specialism in both Hong Kong and PRC employment law will be a valuable asset to our ever growing team,” said Nick Seddon, Asia managing partner at Eversheds. “I am confident that with her background, she will add strategic value to our clients in the region and internationally.”

In her new role, Ng will lead the Hong Kong office’s employment team, which advises international and domestic clients on all areas of employment law, including hiring and termination, employee benefits, anti-discrimination laws and immigration.
