Stephenson Harwood has entered into a formal association with Indonesian law firm Christian Teo Purwono & Partners (CTPP), a move that aims to tap into the growing global interest in Indonesia, apart from helping domestic companies invest overseas.
The agreement between the two firms was signed Thursday, Nov. 24, the same day Stephenson Harwood celebrated 15 years in Singapore. It came a fortnight after O'Melveny & Myers formalised its own relationship with Indonesian firm Tumbuan & Partners.
Jakarta-based CTPP is a full-service law firm that is well-regarded in practice areas like dispute resolution, employment, projects and energy, restructuring and insolvency, and real estate. Among the firm’s high-profile clients are Dell, Michelin Asia and Saudi Telecom.
The alliance, CTTP's first international association, has led to Stephenson Harwood setting up its first associated office in Asia, to complement its existing presence in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Singapore.
