Pan-Indian law firm Khaitan & Co has hired Sharad Abhyankar, a corporate lawyer with more than two decades of experience, as a partner in its Mumbai office.

Abhyankar was a partner at ANS Law Associates, a firm he co-founded, for nine years. Prior to that, he was a partner at Little & Co. until 2002. His areas of expertise include company law, securities law, competition law, telecommunications law, IP, education law and international commercial arbitrations.

As part of Khaitan’s corporate and commercial law team, Abhyanankar will focus on mergers and acquisitions, foreign exchange transactions and general corporate advisory services.
