French law firm Cotty Vivant Marchisio & Lauzeral has appointed Karim Nassif as partner at its Dubai office, thus expanding its Middle East operations and providing additional expertise in the areas of arbitration and corporate and family-business restructuring in Dubai.

Nassif, who was a partner at Dubai-based Habib Al Mulla & Co, is a recognised expert in dispute resolution, particularly in the construction and real estate sectors. He also focuses on financial restructurings, an area that has seen increased attention in recent years in the UAE following a number of restructurings among Dubai related entities.

“He is well known for his extensive experience of practice in UAE law, family businesses, and regional and international arbitration,” said Nigel Hartridge, managing partner of the firm’s Dubai practice. “His skills will complement, and expand our existing Dubai practice.”

Headquartered in Paris, Cotty Vivant Marchisio & Lauzeral also has offices in Tokyo and Singapore. ALB
